DigiFit4All

The personalized curriculum in the field of digital literacy

Progressive digitization is changing the way we live, learn and work, so this technological change also requires new qualifications and lifelong learning.

The project "DigiFit4All", within the cluster "Computer Science Education", aims to provide the necessary skills digitally and in a form tailored to different user groups (pupils, teachers, general staff, students and people with general interests). The technical foundations for "Personalized Open Online Courses" (POOCs) are being created to enable digital continuing education with learning platforms that are widely used in Austria (e.g. Moodle and iMooX). The teaching and learning aids developed in the project will be provided with metadata and stored as Open Educational Resources (OER) in a suitable project repository or connected to the subject portal "Open Education Austria". The selected areas of competence are based on existing national and international competence models. The optimal learning paths are calculated individually, based on a graph model.

Impact

The project enables personalized learning activities independent of time and place, thus facilitating access to digital key competences for groups of people with specific requirements. The digital learning resources will be stored in an open project repository with sustainable metadata and will thus be available as a basis for future developments and optimizations in the field of Learning Analytics.
